For 50 years, Goodwill of Southern Nevada has been making a difference in our community, helping individuals build careers and create better lives through job training and workforce development. As they celebrate this incredible milestone in 2025, we at Glittering Lights are honored to recognize our 25-year partnership with this impactful nonprofit.
A Tradition of Giving Back
Since 2000, Goodwill of Southern Nevada has partnered with Glittering Lights to provide an opportunity for guests to give back during the holiday season. Through our collaboration, thousands of pounds of clothing, household goods, and other items have been donated to support Goodwill’s mission of empowering individuals through the power of work.
Over the years, Glittering Lights has served as a collection point for Goodwill donations, allowing guests to bring items in exchange for special promotions and discounts. These contributions have helped fuel Goodwill’s workforce development programs, which provide free career coaching, job placement, and skills training to thousands of Southern Nevadans.
Goodwill’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
Goodwill of Southern Nevada has exciting plans to mark this golden anniversary, including a yearlong celebration filled with community initiatives, special events, and store openings. Highlights include:
- Goodwill Golden Anniversary Gala – A special event on February 27, 2025, at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center.
- Fundraising Partnership Program – Raising funds and awareness for 12 local nonprofits.
- Expanded Support for Local Designers & Artists – Strengthening partnerships within the Las Vegas fashion and art communities.
- Loyalty Program Relaunch – Featuring weekly gift card giveaways for dedicated shoppers.
- New Store Openings – Bringing the total number of Goodwill retail locations to 20 by mid-2025.
