Evenings from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM: This is the sweet spot for families who want to see the lights after dinner. It’s the most popular time frame, especially during weekends, so expect more cars in line and lots of families excited to see the lights.
Mid-December Onwards: The closer you get to Christmas, the more people you’ll encounter. The holiday excitement really starts to peak as the big day approaches, so mid-December to Christmas Eve tends to be especially crowded.
Weekdays (Monday – Thursday): If you can swing it, visiting on a weekday is your best bet for a more relaxed experience. The lines are shorter, and you’ll have more time to savor every twinkling moment.
Early Evenings (before 6:00 PM): Arriving a little earlier in the evening can help you beat the rush. The lights are just as beautiful, and you’ll get a head start before the biggest crowds arrive.
Later in the Evening (after 8:00 PM): Night owls, this one’s for you! Visiting after 8:00 PM typically means fewer people and a more laid-back vibe as you cruise through the displays.
First Two Weeks of November and January: If you’re not tied to a December visit, the first couple of weeks after the event opens in November or in early January can be a quieter time to enjoy the lights. You’ll still get the full holiday experience, but without the packed crowds. Glittering Lights doesn’t close until the last car has gone through the lights, so jump in line.
