Looking for a fundraiser in Las Vegas that families will actually be excited to participate in?
This holiday season, turn a family night at Glittering Lights into money for your school, club or nonprofit organization.
The Glittering Lights Community Fundraising Program gives local organizations an easy way to raise money during the holidays without selling wrapping paper, collecting orders or asking families to buy something they don’t really need. Instead, supporters purchase tickets to experience Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and a portion of qualifying ticket sales goes directly back to your organization.
Last season, we had an overwhelming number of local schools join us to raise money for their programs, and we’re excited to bring the opportunity back for the 2026 holiday season.
A Holiday Fundraiser Families Can Enjoy Together
Fundraising is a lot easier when you’re offering something people already want to do.
Glittering Lights is a three-mile drive-through Christmas light experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway featuring more than 6 million sparkling lights. Families stay in their own vehicles, turn on Ho Ho Radio, presented by Loyalty Plumbing and enjoy the lights together.
For participating schools and nonprofits, that family night out becomes a fundraiser.
Your supporters purchase their Glittering Lights tickets through your organization’s unique ticketing link. For every qualifying ticket purchased, $5 is donated back to your organization.
Instead of asking families for a straight donation, you’re giving them a Christmas activity they can enjoy while supporting your cause at the same time.
How the Glittering Lights Fundraising Program Works
We want holiday fundraising to be easy for participating organizations, so there aren’t products to distribute or orders to deliver.
Here’s how it works:
Choose Your Fundraising Date
Each participating organization receives a dedicated fundraising day or days at Glittering Lights.
Organizations can select up to two dates, although we recommend focusing your efforts on one date. Creating excitement around one big fundraising night can make it easier to get families, friends and supporters involved.
Share Your Custom Ticket Link
Your organization will receive a unique ticketing URL to share with supporters.
Tickets must be purchased through that specific link to count toward your fundraising total, so make sure it’s included in emails, newsletters, social media posts and any other fundraiser promotions.
Earn $5 From Every Qualifying Ticket
Every qualifying ticket purchased through your organization’s fundraising link earns $5 for your school, club or nonprofit.
The more people you get involved, the more your organization can raise.
Schools Can Win Even More
There’s a little friendly competition involved too.
In addition to earning $5 from every qualifying ticket purchased, prizes are awarded to the top three participating schools.
The Grand Prize school receives an additional $1,000.
So yes, this is one fundraiser where telling every parent, grandparent, neighbor and family friend you know can really pay off.
An Easy Christmas Fundraiser for Schools
School fundraisers usually require a lot of work behind the scenes. Someone has to collect money, manage orders, distribute products or coordinate volunteers.
The Glittering Lights fundraising program keeps things much simpler.
Supporters purchase their own tickets online using your custom link and then head to Glittering Lights on your fundraising date.
It can work for PTAs and PTOs, sports teams, clubs, classrooms, booster organizations and other school programs looking for fundraising ideas in Las Vegas.
It also gives families a reason to invite people outside of the school. Grandparents, friends, neighbors and coworkers can purchase tickets through the fundraising link too.
The more people who know about your fundraiser, the bigger the potential impact.
Holiday Fundraising for Las Vegas Nonprofits and Organizations
The program isn’t just for schools.
Local nonprofits, clubs and community organizations can also partner with Glittering Lights to turn a holiday activity into support for their cause.
Christmas is already a season when people are thinking about giving back to the community, making it a natural time to introduce supporters to your organization’s work.
Your fundraising night can also become an opportunity to bring your community together. Encourage everyone to visit on the same evening, enjoy the lights and celebrate what you’re working toward.
Tips to Make Your Glittering Lights Fundraiser Successful
Once you receive your unique fundraising link, getting it in front of as many people as possible is the most important part.
Start promoting your fundraiser early rather than waiting until a few days before your selected date.
Share the ticket link in parent emails and school newsletters. Post it on your organization’s social media pages. Ask teachers, coaches and volunteers to share it with their own networks. Send reminders as your fundraising night gets closer.
Most importantly, explain why you’re raising money.
Tell supporters exactly what their participation will help fund. New classroom supplies? A school trip? Sports equipment? Arts programs? Community services?
Giving people a reason to participate can make a simple ticket purchase feel much more meaningful.
And don’t forget to remind everyone that tickets need to be purchased through your organization’s unique link for the $5 donation to count.
Turn Christmas Lights Into Community Support
Some of the best fundraising ideas are the ones that don’t feel like fundraisers.
Families get a night out at one of Las Vegas’ favorite Christmas traditions. Your organization gets a simple way to raise money. And everyone gets to be part of something that supports the local community during the holiday season.
The Glittering Lights Community Fundraising Program is presented by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and is available to qualifying local schools and nonprofit organizations.
Glittering Lights returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway November 6, 2026 through January 3, 2027. The lights shine nightly beginning at 5 p.m., including holidays, and Glittering Lights is open rain or shine.
