For over 25 years, Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been more than just a dazzling display of festive lights—it’s a community-driven holiday tradition that spreads joy while making a meaningful impact. The 2024-2025 season was no exception, as the event, presented by Richard Harris Law Firm, helped raise over $500,000 for local charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations.
A Season of Giving & Community Fundraising
Every year, Glittering Lights partners with organizations across Southern Nevada to support vital causes. The 2024-2025 season saw incredible contributions to the community:
- Speedway Children’s Charities raised over $350,000 to support children’s organizations, with a significant portion coming from the PJ5K holiday fun run.
- Hot Cocoa for a Cause: Boy Scouts served over 500 gallons of hot cocoa, creating holiday memories while raising funds for their programs.
- School Fundraising Success: 24 local schools took part in a holiday fundraising event, sponsored by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, helping students raise much-needed funds.
- Honoring Our Heroes: Over 10,000 veterans, military personnel, teachers, and their families received free admission as a token of appreciation.
- Supporting Local Boy Scouts: More than $150,000 was raised to fund Boy Scout leadership programs and initiatives.
- Spreading Holiday Cheer: Toys for Tots collected 1,257 donated toys, ensuring that children in need received gifts this holiday season.
- Giving Back to the Community: Goodwill of Southern Nevada collected 5,000+ pounds of donated items, promoting sustainability and charitable giving.
