LAS VEGAS COUPLE GETS ENGAGED AT GLITTERING LIGHTS ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21
It was a magical night in Glittering Lights’ Shark Reef Aquarium Tunnel at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Alexis Terry, 24, of Las Vegas and Chris Lehman, 27, of Pahrump, got engaged under blue and green twinkling lights on Saturday, December 21.
Nearly thirty of the couple’s family and friends snuggled up for an open-air Santa Tram ride, with Alexis believing her sister won the group a private tram ride through the lights. She was surprised and emotional to see Chris emerge from the light tunnel in front of giant hand-made LED signs that said “Will you marry me Alexis” holding an engagement ring that belonged to his great-grandmother.
“It’s not often you meet someone that clicks with you in every way,” said Lehman. “As our love grew and we built up a life together, I woke up one day and told myself this was it. This was the person I wanted to spend eternity with.”
Loved ones swarmed the happy couple with tears and well wishes. The Terry family has been visiting Glittering Lights presented by Goettl Air Conditioning + Plumbing for more than 11 years, a tradition they hope to pass along to Alexis and Chris.
Santa Tram driven by Silver State Schools Credit Union is open through December 23. Guests experience a festive open-air tram ride through the lights, photos with Santa, hot cocoa and snacks, along with games and holiday fun. With code “MARRYME” guests can receive 40% off their Sant Tram tickets.
