A: Santa Claus:
“Well, the first step is growing the beard, of course! But it’s more than just looking the part—there’s a lot of heart that goes into it. I start by getting into the holiday spirit early. I spend time with my family, watch classic Christmas movies, and even practice my ‘Ho Ho Ho’ (which is harder than it sounds)! I also think about what the kids will ask me, so I stay up to date on the latest toys and trends. And of course, I always make sure to pack some extra Christmas cheer!”
Q: What’s your favorite part about being Santa Claus at Santa Tram?
A: Santa Claus:
“I love watching the kids’ faces light up when they see me—especially when we take pictures with the sea of twinkling lights. You can feel the magic in the air! The Santa Tram is extra special because families get to experience the holiday magic together. Plus, being surrounded by so many dazzling lights makes my job easier—everyone is already in the Christmas spirit!”
Q: Do you have any memorable stories from meeting kids at Glittering Lights?
A: Santa Claus:
“Every year, I hear the funniest, sweetest, and sometimes wildest requests! One year, a little girl asked me if I could help her pet unicorn find more rainbow treats, while another little boy told me he didn’t want any toys, just extra cookies for his dad. But my favorite moments are when kids tell me they’ve been extra good, and their parents nod along—it’s a proud moment for everyone!”

“The Santa Tram at Glittering Lights is truly unique. Instead of just meeting Santa inside a mall, families get to enjoy a festive journey through a dazzling holiday wonderland. The tram takes them through millions of lights, including some incredible displays like Santa’s reindeer, under-the-sea display, Christmas around the World display, and even a Las Vegas Raiders and Vegas Golden Knights tribute! “My advice is simple—be yourselves! I love hearing all about what’s been going on in your lives, whether it’s your favorite new toy, your pet, or what you’re most excited about for Christmas. Q: What do you do after the Santa Tram nights are over?
A: Santa Claus:
“After Santa Tram wraps up, I head back to the North Pole, of course! Mrs. Claus and I take a break and spend some quiet time together, but we’re always thinking that my busiest night of the year is just around the corner. The elves and I prepare all year because Christmas magic takes a lot of work!”
Q: Do you ever take a vacation?
A: Santa Claus:
“In January, Mrs. Claus and I give the North Pole the whole month off! The elves travel all over the world, the reindeer roam and Mrs. Claus and I are heading to Mt. Charleston. It’s a wonderful way to start the new year fresh.”
