WHAT TIME IS GLITTERING LIGHTS OPEN?
We are open November 8, 2024 through January 5, 2025. Sunday through Thursday 5-9pm and Friday-Saturday 5-10pm. Special holiday hours from December 20, 2024 through December 31, 2024 will keep us open till 10pm nightly.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU CAN YOU CAN BRING IN A VEHICLE? CAN WE STUFF A BUNCH OF PEOPLE IN A TRUCK BED?
You sure can. Tickets are per vehicle not per person, so load up. Many people meet up at the Speedway (usually the gift shop parking lot) and load up the truck bed, boat trailer or wagon. Bundle up. It’s colder than you think.
DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?
You can print your ticket or show it on your phone and it will be scanned by an attendant.
HOW DOES THE SEASON PASS WORK?
One ticket allows unlimited access to the 2024/25 season for up to two (2) family vehicles – due to popular demand, now both family vehicles can enter at the same time! Enjoy entrance through the Fast Pass lane (on valid nights) and even enjoy using your season ticket multiple times in one evening! Now that’s cheery. The Season Pass is not meant for commercial use. Please note that a physical, laminated Glittering Lights Season Pass will be assigned to your vehicles on your first visit that cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or damaged.
HOW DOES THE FASTPASS WORK? WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?
This premium experience dashes your sleigh to bypass the line during rush times. Fast Pass is $64 per vehicle and offered on select, peak nights. Dash to the front of the line and drive-thru millions of dazzling lights! The fastest entry into Glittering Lights is the premium FAST PASS, powered by Diamondback Land Surveying, to bypass rush time for less waiting. To guarantee a spot, pre-purchase online. A limited number of tickets may be available on-site but based on availability.
DO YOU OFFER MILITARY DISCOUNTS?
Yes. We appreciate our military and all they do to keep us and our families safe. Glittering Lights offers all veterans and military with valid ID free entry on Veteran’s Day, November 11th and Military Monday, November 18th. Every other day a $5 military discount is available when purchasing at the event with valid ID. Offers can’t be combined.
HOW DOES SANTA TRAM WORK? WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?
Outdoor open-air tram rides are back powered by Silver State Schools Credit Union! Bundle up. Nestle up. Santa Tram is a magical holiday experience with festive decor, fun games, a train for the kiddos and plenty of family photo opportunities. Free photos with Santa! Even the big guy in the bright red suit will be onsite to find out if you have been naughty or nice. This experience is sold per person and is date and time specific. Reserve your space HERE.
DO YOU EVER SELL OUT?
We generally do not sell out of general admission tickets but Santa Tram can sell out on busy days.
DO SANTA TRAM TICKETS SELL OUT
If you are visiting Glittering Lights on one of our busier nights (weekends and actual holidays) the Santa Tram can sell out so it’s recommended to make your purchases in advance.
WHAT IS THE HEIGHT LIMIT FOR MOTORHOMES AND TOUR BUSES?
Tour buses and RVs are welcome and must be under 11 ft. in height. Our light show goes through the grandstands of Las Vegas Motor Speedway and that’s the highest we can allow. Admission for buses is an additional $3 per person. If your headcount at $3 per person is less than the Carload price. For example, say you have 9 people on your bus, that would be $27 – so you would still pay $39 for a Carload ticket. If you have 30 people on your bus, that would be $90.
DOES THE SANTA TRAM FOLLOW THE SAME ROUTE AS SELF DRIVE?
Yes! You will see all of the Glittering Lights on the Santa Tram.
IS GLITTERING LIGHTS A DRIVE-THROUGH ONLY EVENT? CAN I WALK THROUGH? RIDE MY BIKE?
Glittering Lights is a drive-through ONLY event. You are welcome to drive slowly, roll down the windows, take photos, turn your music up, but you must stay in the vehicle. No bicycles allowed.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
We welcome all pets to ride along. They must remain in the vehicle with you at all times.
WHEN ARE YOUR FIREWORKS?
We will have a spectacular fireworks show on New Years Eve at 9pm. Check the calendar of events for details.
WHERE CAN I PICK UP A DISCOUNT VOUCHER?
You can pick up a $5 off voucher at any of the following locations: Goodwill, Terribles, Port of Subs, Del Taco, Star Nursery, UMC, & Silver State Schools Credit Union.
WHERE IS THE GOODWILL DONATION TRUCK?
The donation truck is available on site at Glittering Lights. Receive $5 off by bringing a bag of gently used items to donate to Goodwill of Southern Nevada. You don’t even have to get out of your car, our ticketing elves will place your donation boxes. Offers can’t be combined.
DO YOU HAVE GROUP DISCOUNTS?
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRIVE THROUGH 5 MILLION LIGHTS?
Driving through Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway takes approximately 40 magnificent minutes on average. Please drive safely and pay attention to the road.
ARE THERE CONCESSIONS?
This is a complete in-car experience. Concessions will be available. In fact, you will drive your vehicle right past the concession area where a Boy Scout will take your order, should you choose to purchase, and deliver treats right at your vehicle – so you don’t leave your vehicle.
Concession earnings are donated to Southern Nevada area Boy Scout troops who are learning customer service skills and earning money for activities and camp by working this event. Cocoa, water, kettle and butter corn are some of the items available.
ARE THERE RESTROOMS?
A few speedway restrooms will be open to the public near the entry, however, there are no restrooms inside Glittering Lights, so please go before you drive through.
IS THE LIGHT SHOW OPEN ON THANKSGIVING DAY AND CHRISTMAS DAY?
Absolutely! Open every day from opening date to closing date. That’s about 60 days of holiday spirit! We love holidays. We are open on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
WHAT ABOUT RAINY OR SNOWY DAYS?
Glittering Lights is open rain, shine AND snow!

WHEN IS THE LIVE NATIVITY OPEN?
The Living Nativity, presented in partnership through several churches and organizations in Southern Nevada, is traditionally open select dates in November and December. Check our special events calendar for presentation dates.
HOW CAN MY GROUP FUNDRAISE?
School PTOs, non-profits, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops can host a fundraiser at the lights. $5 per FULL PRICE ticket entry will be donated back to the organization for each ticket purchased using the provided Glittering Lights affiliate link. Semi-private and private Santa Tram nights are available on select December evenings. Email sales@ivorystar.com for more details. Blackout dates do apply. Dates available on a first reserve basis.
