Tips for Visiting Glittering Lights with the Kiddos
The holiday season is all about creating magical memories, especially for our little ones. The tradition of Glittering Lights is a local, beloved holiday activity that brings families and their little ones each year to drive through millions of lights. To ensure your family makes the most out of this year’s festivities, we’ve gathered a collection of tips and fun ideas that will transform your visit into an unforgettable holiday tradition with us.
- Choose the Right Time: Weeknights are often less crowded than weekends. Arrive early to get a good spot in the queue. Fast Pass powered by Diamondback Land Surveying is available for busier nights.
- Dress Comfortably: Even though you’ll be in the car, make sure everyone is dressed warmly and comfortably. Bring blankets for extra coziness. Don’t forget your Santa hat!
- Bring Snacks and Drinks: Pack festive snacks and drinks to enjoy during the drive. Additionally hot chocolate, kettle corn, and other holiday treats can be purchased at the entrance.
- Bathroom Breaks: Make sure everyone uses the restroom before leaving. A few restrooms are located near the entrance, but there are no bathrooms inside the light park.
- Prep the Car: Clean the windows for the best view, and decorate your car with holiday lights or garlands to add to the festive atmosphere.
- Holiday Music: On the way and at Glittering Lights, listen to HoHo Radio sparked by Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing for streaming holiday music, trivia and games. Ho Ho Radio, produced by Joanna & Sean from Sunny 106.5 can be listened to or downloaded HERE.
- Bring a Camera: Capture the magical moments by taking photos or videos. Don’t forget to take your obligatory selfie.
- Photo Props: Bring along some holiday photo props, like Santa hats, reindeer antlers, or elf ears. Let the kids wear them and take fun photos during the drive.
- Consider Santa Tram: Let us do all the driving through Glittering Lights, including free photos with Santa! Reservations needed.
- Get Directions: Please don’t follow GPS. Take Interstate 15, exit 54 (Speedway BLVD).
So bring the kids, grandchildren, youngins, rugrats, munchkins or ankle biters to enjoy the festive lights and joy of sharing this special tradition at Glittering Lights!
See you at the lights!
